Hello! Thank you for coming to my website. My name is Jaggar, but if you’re here, I’m sure you already knew that. It’s difficult to put a label on what I do. While this is not an exhaustive list, some of the current roles that I occupy include disabled activist, disability studies scholar, and someone who both cares deeply about disabled art and artists while actively developing my own artistic practice.

I don’t really like to define myself, or anyone else for that matter, by their work. So I also want to take a minute to tell you some other things about me.

I have significant physical disabilities and am a full-time vent user.

I have lived in New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and currently, Philadelphia, where I am a P.h.D. student in Media & Communication at the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University.

My work is often academic in nature, but I am also passionate about pop culture, with a particular affinity for Lady Gaga and Survivor, and I consider myself to be a lover of food. I have a standing appointment (which is impressive for me) with ice cream every Friday.

Above all, I care deeply about the things I do and more equitable and creative futures for all disabled people. But importantly, I never want to lose sight of the joy in life or take things too seriously. For me, finding humor in the every day is essential. Thank you for reading this far. If you are curious, please feel free to explore this site, and use my contact form and info to reach out if you like.
